Hearing the plea, Justice Bose, also suggested that the National Testing Agency conduct the exams in two shifts of 400 students each. However, he asked NTA to take necessary steps at the earliest.
The bench also observed that 21 days is sufficient for the NTA to make adequate arrangements for the examination.
In its order, it said that the NTA should ensure that in examination centres of 400 examinees there should be enough space and equipment to ensure social distancing norms are followed. The bench also said that NTA must make sure that sanitization and other safety measures are taken at the centres.
It added that the NTA must make efforts to reduce the gap between application end date and exam date.
